Meet the owner

A lifelong Houston-area resident, Dale Moon spent nineteen years in law enforcement before founding the agency in 1985. It opened in Clear Lake and works today from 360 FM 1959 in south Houston, serving the Houston area and clients across Texas.
Dale and his team handle the full range of Texas personal and commercial lines — auto and homeowners, the coastal wind and flood arrangements that come with living east of SH 146, commercial packages for the trades, and the filing work that gets a suspended license back. The agency reaches both the standard market and the non-standard one, which is what lets a driver with a lapse or a house with an older roof still get placed.
Dale has served as President of the Professional Insurance Agents of Texas. Known for personalized service and long-standing community relationships, he has built a reputation for plain-spoken advice and dependable follow-through — answering his own phone, quoting fast, and getting the paperwork filed without the runaround.

How we work
A DPS letter has a deadline. So does a closing, a job start and a lease. We call web leads back usually within the hour during office hours, bind standard auto the same day, and transmit an SR-22 to DPS the same business day.
The state’s clock is separate from ours: DPS can take up to 21 business days to post a filing to your record.
When you call, a Texas-licensed agent picks up — not a routing queue or a national call center. You work with the same person from the first quote through to the certificate.
Monday to Thursday, 9:00 to 5:00; Friday, 9:00 to 4:00.
A policy is a legal contract with a lot of moving parts. We say what is covered and what is not, and we convert the percentages — a 2% wind and hail deductible on a $300,000 house is $6,000, and that is the sentence that matters.
We never quote a premium we have not had rated. A figure you can plan around comes from a carrier, not from a website.

We do not charge a fee for a quote or an application. Our compensation comes from the carrier at the time a policy is bound, at standard commission rates.
Surplus lines policies are written by carriers not licensed in Texas and are not protected by the Texas guaranty association. We say so on the page where it applies, every time.
