Surety Bonds
A surety bond is not insurance for you — it is a guarantee for whoever is asking for it. If you do not do what you promised, they can claim against the bond, and you repay the surety. That is the whole difference in one sentence, and it is the part people are usually surprised by.
Bonds get required by state agencies, courts, cities and contracts, and they arrive on deadlines. So we gave them their own desk rather than a corner of an insurance page.
The handoff
Our bond desk is its own operation
Surety Bond Houston is Moon’s bond desk — same office, same Texas license #5595, same phone number. It handles license and permit bonds, contract bonds for construction, court and probate bonds, and fidelity bonds.
Everything about bonds lives over there: the bond types, what each one costs, how fast it can be issued, and the application itself. Sending you across rather than repeating half of it here is deliberate — the bond desk has the forms, the markets, and the people who file these every day.
If it is the work you need covered rather than the bond — liability, the trucks, the crew — that is this side of the house: contractors general liability insurance.
One question
Not sure which bond you’re being asked for?
Call (281) 484-8320 and describe who is asking. That question usually gets answered in about a minute, and it saves reading four pages about bonds you do not need.
