Claims
Report it to the carrier. Then call us and we will push.
An independent agency cannot open a claim for you. The company that wrote the policy takes the report, assigns the adjuster and pays the loss — and your claim exists from the moment they have it, not from the moment we do. Below is the reporting route for each market this agency places through.
If anyone is hurt, or the property is not safe
Call 911 first and stop reading. Then the carrier — their claim lines run around the clock, which this office does not. We will pick it up in the morning.
Before you call them
Five things that turn a twenty-minute call into a five-minute one.
- Policy number — on your ID card, declarations page or renewal notice.
- Date, time and place of the loss.
- What happened, in the order it happened.
- Photographs, taken before anything is moved, cleaned up or repaired.
- The other driver’s details, or the police or fire report number.
Have those in front of you when you dial. Do not send any of it to this site: nothing here is a secure channel for a driver license, a declarations page or a payment detail, and there is no upload box on this page for exactly that reason. Call and we will give you an approved way to get documents to us.
Where to report
By market, with the route each company publishes.
Look for the company named on your ID card or declarations page — not this agency’s name. Moon Insurance placed the policy; one of these companies holds it.
Source: each carrier’s own claims page, requested and answered in turn. Verified .
A market showing a phone number instead of a link is one whose reporting page we could not confirm on that date. We would rather hand you this desk than a URL that has moved since — call and we will read you the current number off the policy.
After you report it
Call us with the claim number.
We cannot decide a claim and will not pretend otherwise. What this desk does is chase the adjuster when a week goes quiet, read the settlement against the policy we sold you, and tell you plainly when the carrier is right — which is sometimes the answer.
